DES MOINES – Midwest Mattress has opened a new store at 2456 E. Euclid Ave., which is their 5th metro location, called Midwest Mattress Weekend Express.
The new store will offer a variety of styles and brands of mattress at bargain prices. It’s a new concept for Midwest Mattress, and will feature NEW overstock items, floor samples and discontinued beds, all at discount prices. The Midwest Mattress Weekend Express location is only open Friday through Monday (10am – 8pm) to allow time to hunt down the best bargains, which gives shoppers the best deals on mattresses each week. Eventually they’ll expand to offer furniture.
Midwest Mattress has grown to 5 metro locations since 2004. Stores are located in Urbandale, Southeast Des Moines, Ankeny, Ames and now on East Euclid. “Some people say ‘you get what you pay for.’ And those people are right. For those who want to pay for big advertising budgets, high rent locations, and highly commissioned salespeople, Des Moines offers plenty of opportunities for buying new mattresses. For those who want to pay only for a great mattress, there’s Weekend Express” co-owner Joe Luhman said.
Midwest Mattress is proud of their Iowa roots, and 90 percent of the mattresses they offer are made in Iowa. They offer a line of 2-sided, flippable beds, by Consumer Digest Award winner Restonic, which are manufactured in Toledo, IA, as well as offering beds from industry leader Serta, which are manufactured in Clear Lake, IA.
